Concrete House
Earth House
Our client was drawn to European villages and the qualities and mystique of the dwellings that defined them. Earth House is our contemporary response to their memories, imagery and dialogue in the context of the rugged Australian coastline.
A harsh coastal location called for the robust construction materials that also gave a sense of performance. The result is a building constructed predominantly from local earth, which responds seamlessly to the rugged environment.
Caroline
This private city residence is a sculptural gesture of contemporary architecture and interior design exploring layered open spaces filtered with natural light. Hidden behind an unassuming facade is a deceptively large private home that maximises the footprint of an irregular block. Overcoming challenging height restrictions, the carefully considered design results in an abundance of space, light and volume.
House 20
Whitehall Black
Washington
Washington Street comprises of 6 meticulously crafted residences which have been carefully detailed, offering flexibility, amenity and security in one of Melbourne’s most exclusive locations.
A woven metal veil is draped between the blade walls to the street facade, creating private terraces which draw dappled light into the street-front residences, offering texture, depth and privacy.
Albert Street
St James Penthouse
St Kilda Penthouse
The large, open floor plan is encased by an L-shaped gallery which frames dramatic views of the bay and city, allowing the private areas to unfold. The apartment has been layered with a rich pallet of materials, furniture, objects and artwork to create a play of natural light and texture, tone and shadow. Together the natural stone lining the expansive floors and walls, and the polished plastered surfaces, maximise the reflections off the sky and water.
Victoria Penthouse
With an abundance of space and natural light, this penthouse apartment features a strong, simple use of limited materials and restrained colour.
